»Drawing has always been a passion of mine«

Since she was a child, drawing has always been a passion of her. She graduated in art history and in graphic communication design. After many years in interdisciplinary advertising and communication, she decided to go for creative independence and artistic work. Romy Schwingenschuh brings things up, visually. It is her detailed and highly sensitive perception that brings her fine art to life. She works with clients on commissioned art projects for contemporary and modern interiors and develops creative ideas including conceptional art direction. The artist loves to switch between multiple art techniques and visual languages. Her artworks are feminine, graceful and elegant - representing protagonists, characters and individualists, but also mixed-media and abstract art. All artworks are originally drawn by hand.

«When I see something, my perception reduces it to an illustrative minimum - to lines and surfaces. I feel the urge to put it on paper in a reductive form. The basis for this is always something that has already been seen – a photo, a depiction, a situation, it can also be a film still. Whether portrait, protagonist, form, figure, situation or line.
